How Do You Start Your Day?
When you wake up each day, how do you feel?
Do you feel tired, grumpy, angry, sad and disappointed or do you feel happy, cheerful, calm, relaxed or excited each day you wake up?
It has been a while since I have felt excited. Happy but not excited as in really looking forward to get out of bed and just hit the road and get on doing whatever it is that I want to do.
Your mental state says a lot about the state of your life doesn’t it?
If you really want to know what you want all you have to do is ask yourself.
How Do I Want To Feel Today?
Not what you want but how do you want to feel.
The answer might surprise you but it will give you enough clues to tell you that you are headed in the right direction or need to do course correction.
In fact if you cannot set aside time for a morning routine then let asking this simple question to yourself each morning be your morning routine. Every morning before you get started with anything else ask yourself: “How Do I Want To Feel Today”
It is surprising that it is the human tendency to always maintain control and yet how easily we give up control at the same time.
A stranger on your commute to work could pick and argument with you and ruin your day. A office colleague or your friend could say something mean and hurtful and get your spirits down. Someone’s constant bickering and complaining disturb your own peace.
When any of the above happens, just remind yourself the answer to the question:
“How Do I Want To Feel?”
