The Manifest – What Is My WHY?

What Is Your Why?

I love to drive people to do their best.  All of them I knew? I wish.

But if I love someone I think it is my responsibility to let them know that they have the potential to be so much more.
Whenever I get into “motivational” conversation I almost always end up asking “What is Your WHY?”

It’s not a signature product or a punch line that I’ve come up with.
I am pretty sure that I am not the first one to use it.
It’s a simple and a thought provoking question that seems to have a profound impact. A simple WHY makes you pause and evaluate.

Why do I still work when I hate my job?
Why do not work out when I know I am in a bad shape?
Why do I not spend enough time with family when I know my kids miss me?
Why do I fail at my business even though I work so hard at it?

The apple kept falling from the tree since the time of Eden but only Sir Isaac Newton asked:
Why does the apple fall down & not float in air?
Okay I am exaggerating now but you get the point right?

My Five WHY’s

I. What Is My Why?
It’s simple. I love helping people.

II. Why Do I love helping people?
Because I believe that each one of us has the potential to lead a happy and a successful life.

III. Why is each one of us not Happy & Successful?
It is certainly not due to the lack of will. Everyone wants to be happy and successful but just wishing & wanting is not enough.
To be successful you need to take action in the right direction.

IV. Why is that so difficult to understand?
People understand that they need to take action and most do take action but in the wrong direction.

V. Why Do People take action in the wrong direction?
1. Following someone else because it seems to be leading them to success.
2. Not knowing what the right direction is or how to find it.
3. Looking for the answers outside and not within.

The answer to be truly happy & successful lies within us.

I believe that each one of use has the capability and the potential to be Happy, Successful and lead a Wealthy Life.

Even though I say each of us have the potential to be Happy, Successful and Wealthy, Most of us fail because we are trying to build our house on an unsteady foundation.

No one has the time or the desire to help others. It’s each one for himself. In today’s world there are tons of resources to develop skills but no guidance to help build character. Our definition of success & wealth is measured by the society’s yard stick and not our own.

It is the eye of others & not our own eyes which ruin us. If all the world were blind except myself I should not care for fine clothes for furniture.
– Phineas Taylor Barnum

I think that this is one of the major source of unhappiness for most people. Being content and grateful is not the same thing as being unambitious and lazy.

The solution would be obvious; before you try to build a high rise it would make sense to first have a steady foundation.

My purpose is to help you build a rock solid foundation to achieve happiness, success and wealth in life.
Most of things that I talk about come from my own experience.

If something does not make sense to you, ask me in the comment section.
If you don’t agree with it, ignore it or better yet come up with a better answer. This might help others too.

  1. I like your 5 questions and I had to, of course, answer them myself.

I was surprised where you were going with your article, I agree you must have a solid foundation for any business venture and I also understand that you need to somehow build that foundation and that leads me to this question.

    How do I build it?

I could not find that information in your article, could you elaborate?

    1. Hey Shawn,

Thank you for visiting the site. I like the question that you’ve asked and it is something that I would want to cover in depth [I will link it here when I post it]

In the meanwhile , thank you for such a wonderful question.

  2. This is a highly relavant post.

I have always considered that every venture in life starts with a question. It is usually what will give you that sense of direction.

Even if you take wrong one in the process, you can always take a detour. It might not be the fastest way, but it will still get you to point “X” where your goal is.

  3. Great article, love the question about the apple falling from the tree, no one ever asked why, that is great, does stop and make you think. I found without a why, I give up and quit way to easy. Many want more money, but don’t really know why, your article is inspiring and makes you stop and evaluate why. Well worth the read and very helpful. Sometimes we get to busy running and don’t stop and make sure we are still on course with our why. Thanks for your post

  4. I totally agree that having a “why” is crucial to any product or business that you put your time into. It helps especially during the times of struggling with the business/products, because instead of just throwing in the towel and calling it quits, you can just look back to your “why” as a reminder to why you are doing what you are doing. Motivation is a huge key and the “why” is the best motivation.
Personally, I have learned to write down my “why” and it can be very beneficial to add pictures with it, you can even create a small poster where you will be able to see it daily as a reminder and motivation.
Pictures help because we human beings are very visual, and adding a picture will help get your wheels turning in your head to make your “why” happen.
I personally wouldn’t say that no one has the time or desire to help others, I know I dedicate a lot of time into both. But I understand what you are trying to say, that there are a lot of people who are like that in today’s world.
Great post, thank you for the information!
